Method calls in Innovator – a comprehensive overview
This article describes various variants of Method calls in Innovator. A bit of a “special interest” topic. So far, however, I have not been able to find a really good overview that also includes error handling. So I’ll try it myself.
Each chapter contains two methods. The first calls the second.
In each example, the second method will return the id of a particular User item specified in the first method. Use an invalid username to simulate an error. The result is returned either as Item or result string.
C# to C#, return Item
C# to C#, return Result
JS to C#, return Item
JS to C#, return Result
JS to JS without promise
Collection is based on codes samples I found in the Aras Forum or that I coded own my own. Use at your own risk!
